Done Is Better Than Perfect

Let’s be honest, the guitar is a very demanding instrument. Most rewarding things are. If I stop playing the guitar for a week, my fingers tighten up and slow down significantly and I have to go back to my basic stretching exercises and scales.
The point is, you have to stay consistent with anything you want to improve at or maintain. Everyday.
My goal here is to stay consistent with my posts and videos to provide content that will help musicians like myself transform themselves into better players. More importantly, how to use the skills you already have and use them to help you meditate and strengthen your focus.
I plan to post valuable content to my channels every Tuesday. Whether it is a new simple scale to practice, original song, or a new idea that helps you level up in your guitar meditation journey.
I know now that it’s all about gaining momentum. Getting started is the most difficult part. The most important step is the next one. Anyone can take the first step, but then they might dip their toes in the water and say, “Ok, I took the first step and now I want to turn back and quit.” This is why the most important step is the next step. Then the one after that.
You see, it’s not about being perfect, or creating the perfect post. It’s about creating something you believe or know to be valuable and then sharing it with the world. Done is better than perfect. When I put something out there for the world, it is done. It might not be perfect. But it’s done. Your finished project or song or speech or painting or post, might never be perfect, but it is finished. This alone is better than perfection. If we waited until our work was perfect, then it would never be finished and never be shared. Create a deadline for yourself, plan accordingly and then share it with the world. Because being done is better than being perfect. ~Marco
